The Carmichael/Price version was a thousand times better than the miserable remake. I won't watch any show with Hugh Laurie in it now. He was disastrous, and so was Fry.
Surely everyone's list must include Gussie presenting the prizes ("Right Ho, Jeeves"). The pinnacle of humorous prose.
He also loved Rex Stout whodunits....which prompted me to devour all the Nero Wolfe books. He was, of course, right - Stout was the king.
Wow! That's awesome. You are indeed fortunate to have received a letter penned by The Master himself.
I must say the portrait is really good. When I first saw this I thought to myself: Is Nick Hobart a P. G. Wodehouse look alike:)

Like many Dulwich boys, I became a Wodehouse fan at an early age, weaned from 'Just William' to the Wooster stories by my brother. My hero-worship continued and increased over the years , and one wet Sunday in 1970 I had the notion of making a portrait.
The medium I chose was scratchboard - for those unfamiliar with this product, one starts with a black surface and removes it gradually with a pointed tool to reveal the white underneath.
